The tire valve tool and new valve should be under 5 bucks. Has it been converted to r134? Buy a new one and put it on. Pull another vacuum and leave it connected for several hours. Then check the pressure to make sure you do not have anyother leaks. If you have had a leak there when the a/c was charged then you most likely are out of oil as well as freon. If that is the case your compressor maybe toast. When the compressor goes it will send metal pieces to the dryer and clog it up. Also the expansion valve is clogged up. You could try to charge it and add oil and see what you get but if get warm or cool air instead of cold then you are looking to replace all 3 items.
