I would just like to make a general annoucement, that I have been robbed...
not at knife point or by a shady character in a dark ally but all the same I had hard earned money taken from me by someone who obviously does not intend to give it back
I purchased a Probinator chip from Ryan De hoyos and immediately paid for it via paypal which he confirmed by responding to me in an email. This was done on 5/20/2010 we stayed in contact for a few days by email untill I asked him when he thought he would be able to ship it out, then I didnt hear back from him even after several emails with no reply. Finally on 7/3/2010 after another email I sent him out of the blue he responded back asking for the date and adress, not really sure why but I obliged and sent it to him his reply was "I need the date when you sent the payment" once again this didnt make sence either but I looked up my paypal history and there it was, paypal payment sent of $45 to Ryan De hoyos just before the day of his 1st email. Since, I have sent him several emails to no avail trying to find out the status of my order, my last email was sent on 7/13/2010 3 days after his final email
the moral of the story is..
DO NOT BUY FROM PROBINATOR HE WILL TAKE FROM YOU AND NEVER REPLY BACK, HE IS A THEIF!
and as a sign of good faith if Ryan "Probinator" would like to reimburse me my payment I would be glad to have this thread removed and will hold no such grudge
probinator has been around for a long time, i think he is slowly getting out of the game. personally i don't think he is out to rob you of your money (and that should mean i lot coming from one of his competitors) i have PM'ed him before and he seems to be a genuine guy. be patient and im sure if nothing else you will be able to get your money back. if not PM me and ill make you something custom up for a better price.
u aint the first to complain on the turnaround of an order from probinator, but he does have to have someone else install these chips, which may or may not be a good excuse, but he should come in contact if there is a delay. i am a repeat customer of his and since i'm in california, a couple of weeks was the turnaround time for my orders. i'm sure he'll get back to you or reimburse you if that's your choice.
Maybe Probinator just hasn't got around to shipping it out.
Are you sure he meant the date of payment and not the manufacturing date of your car?
Zombie screwed me on one chip, I bought 2 and then 2 more a few years late, for the second two I only received 1, the 90+/B spec for a friend, the 88-89 chip for my 89GT never came, I contacted him, he claimed he only got paid for one, what he got was one payment of 160$.
I paid a 2nd gen member 400+ dollars for a T3/T4, he screwed with me via email until it was to late to get reimbursed by paypal.
A member from OZ had me rebuild a digital cluster and ship it, I got screwed 70$ on shipping and the cluster.
I shipped a fubar'd diff to a member for the diff gear/ LSD install, the diff was free he only had to pay shipping (don't think I ever received payment), I used Ribbie's account, sent wire harness to Mafatato (I know he paid) then some injectors and the diff and only received one payment out of the two.
Only the one I pad for no turbo I would call a thief and even then he had fallen on hard times and was desperate to sell, I could have pressed charged (my birth moms brother is high placed in the state troupers, well my uncle I have never met) but that wouldn't get the money back or the turbo sent so what's the point.
Money will come and go, girls and bars are the most efficient way of making it disappear (next to taxes here), just remember you can make more and you will trust a little less.
But they will be:

Details on what you can do, please?
I've been on the fence for awhile about ordering a chip from Probinator, but this clinches it.
“One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that if you drive into London at 6am, half of the cars on the roads are Porsches and Astons. Whereas if you go in at ten to nine, they’re all Renaults. Simple solution, then. You want a nice car? Get up earlier and do more work.”

^ very interested
I would like to know more about your chip, any information on it would be helpful and Im sure others would like to know aswell with Probinator doing.. well whatever it is he is doing not devoting to customer service thats for sure!
this is basically my typical spiel about what i do:
i modify ODBI only (93-95) KL (mx3/6/626/probe) EPROM's to change the fuel, timing, VRIS, rev limiter and fan turn on temps to customer specifications. for example a typical stoker100 ZE EPROM using a DE VAF starts from $50US and goes up from there depending on the complexity and number of changes required. to date ive done about 61 EPROMs for members on here PT and MX3.com everyone so far has been pleased with the results. everyone of my EPROMs are built from scratch as all customers have different year cars, different ECU's with different requirements and modifications, i don't use a generic template, always test EPROMs on my own ZE probe and i do the tuning personally.
im also able to have dual EPROM maps meaning you can have a switch to change the rev limiter, or fuel/timing map or VRIS at a flick of a switch, these start from $100US. If you have a dyno printout with a/f ratios i can also tune fuel based off the graph.
ignoring the VRIS changes to suit a ZE engine my EPROMs generally make about 5-10whp depending on mods, low rpm is unchanged for excellent drivability/idle while high rpm is modified for maximum power. most of the improvement is made from taking out fuel up top as the KL series run overly rich, also increasing ignition timing (dependent on what fuel you intend to use).
all EPROMs are tested on my car before they go out the door, because my work is "copyable" i don't provide refunds but i do provide a satisfaction guarantee so if your not happy with the tune i can send you another EPROM free of charge upon return of the one i sent out.
i can also fit the EPROM to your ECU if required, this is a fixed $50US charge +shipping (to remove the EPROM, fit a socket, add new EPROM and test run). when you purchase an EPROM from me it comes with a socket so if you ever need to remove it again it will only take a few min (and no further desoldering would be required). if you dont have a spare ECU and need to drive the car daily then you can either have a local TV repair shop fit the EPROM or i can send you a replacement ECU to swap over while i modify yours, if you require me to send you an ECU there's a $200US core charge (refunded when the original is returned).
payment is through paypal only for buyer and seller security.
this is what i need to know before i start:
year: (94')
transmission: (e.g. automatic/manual)
ECU#: (e.g. kl07)
performance mods: (e.g. CAI, PnP, 2.5" catback etc)
what VAF you want to use:
any specific changes: e.g. open VRIS all the way to 7000rpm etc.
if you have a recent dyno plot with A/F ratios it will also help.
when you go ahead with an order i give you a unique EPROM number, which if you ever want to make and further changes or want something different done (e.g. you add nitrous to your car and want the VRIS to open earlier and stay open longer) it makes it a simpler faster process.
if anyone wants to hear from some people who have them installed i can provide a list of MX6.com members who are running my EPROM.
. if not PM me and ill make you something custom up for a better price.

Are you saying you can write 88-92 OBD1 F2T eprom ships?
What the first gen community needs is a chip that eliminates boost cut, has stock or reduced timing maps and max RPM increase.

I don't even care about the RPM increase, unless i were to do the valve spring mod. I don't need another 500-1000rpm of floating valves.
But yes... boost cut, leave the timing map alone. That would be nice.
Bonus points if you can figure out chips for larger injectors, but i'm not holding my breath there.

any chance you could post what the stock (or your) timing map looks like for the F2T?
'91 GT - Holset HE351VE (VGT) and MS - FS/Part Out!
'91 B2200 - new home for the f2t
'96 240sx - ebay build + EFR turbo and MS ex-MTSU Formula SAE - not mine, but i got to build it and drive it! My IHI turbo page
if someone sent me an eprom i could have a look, ive never touched an F2T EPROM and didnt notice that this was the 1st gen forum, if someone sends me one im sure i could work something out.
there is someone on performance probe who is working on a chip for 460 injectors
Link to thread?
