If California, count me and El Seven in. Heck our cars are almost identical (according to MX6 guru, Damian). Where else can you find white GTs with auto transmissions?
I in fact just picked up the ATX a couple weeks ago. Cool car.
Loaded. Good shape too. I'm impressed with the reaction times in the valve bodies of this particular atx, especially when i open her up through the gears.
Wonder how much difficulty i will have locating a new rack for this thing.
Currently putting the mtx back together so i can jet around again in that car, been driving it forever now. I miss it compared to the atx, i drive the piss out of it and it keeps coming back for more. 247k on it.
I believe in reincarnation... just the other day i saw an old lady turn into a driveway.

My ATX is incredibly responsive, especially in sport mode. People think I'm racing them but it's not (always) me; it's the tranny that wants to race!
My tranny has almost 160K miles on it but the engine (a factory long block installed by John Hine Mazda, 1 year before I bought it) has just a tad over 60K miles on it - strong like bull)

Apparently white GTs with an ATX were popular in California, since that's where my current car started life
And I agree on the ATX, it's the only automatic I ever liked since it felt very responsive and eager... I was more eager to swap it out for a manual though
The only downside to the ATX is the idle - very rough. I remember my nephew's Integra of the same year - very rough as well but not to the extent of the high-torque, long stroke MX6 GT. Since the 90s, idle quality of 4 cylinder, ATX vehicles had improved, significantly. Of course, rotary Mazdas with ATXs were always smooth.
My idle purrs like a kitten in heat. I would consider the downside being that the shift points are no longer "manual" and you have to adjust EC selection and your foot-to-floor height to compensate. Doing both of those seems more annoying than just grabbing your shifter and tossing it in another gear when you feel like it, in the mtx.

I'm still driving my 1991. I bought it in 1997 with 110,000 kms. It was back then my pride and joy and for many years was in excellent condition. I just rolled over 380,000 kms. It's been rear ended twice, side swiped twice, broken into three times, high centered once on a meridian and lost it's oil pan, and taught 4 girlfriends how to drive standard all on the original clutch (knock on wood.) I've slept in it about a dozen times - with varying results. I've had 8 people in it at once, including the trunk. I once brought 1500 cans of beer home in it (if I'm remembering this right) - rear seats folded down of course. My longest road trip was 5,400 kms. She's tired now and showing signs of being in too much road salt but still a good friend and starts up even at -30c temperatures.
