Changed my shifter bushings

Yeah, I changed those today. I was thinking of making a write up but it was so damn easy. Liquid wrench and 2 12mm wrenches is all you need. When I removed my bushings, only one of the four were in. One was stuck in there but not providing any support. That other rubber piece that was talked about was fine on my car so I didn't replace it. The shifter is so TIGHT now. I did notice that I have to replace the big rubber boot @ the bottom of the shifter though.

Amazing isn't it lol. Unfortunately my shift gate was already knocked out when i changed my bushings and it just made shifting harder with the broken transaxle. Maybe now your transmission will break in 10k mi. instead of 1k mi.

So Very Obsessed

It better not break in 10k mi. Maybe 100k mi.

Mine took the big dumper about 100 miles before it turned over 180k

I'll be replacing the shifter bushings as soon as my replacement tranny goes in. Then I'm rebuilding the broken one in college this fall.

I found mine a whole lot better after I replaced busings, but it would still balk on hard shifts at 6,000.

I speculated that it was becuase of the way the engine/transaxle rocked on those old tired mounts and did the urethane thing on my front and rear mounts.

Quelle différence!

Highly recommended. Highly.
