Boost controller

I wanted to plug in a boost controller and keep my boost cut intact, so basically i am not planning on boosting more then 12PSI.
i know it;s a good idea to have a boost gauge when using a boost controller but if i'm just cranking it up to 12 PSI and not removing boost cut is the gauge really necesary?
oh and yes i am sure my car has boost cut because one time i forgot to tighter up my throtle body boot and i hit boost cut since all that air was leaking out.

why don't you just buy a boost gauge so you can see what psi you are boosting?

Autometer boost gauge $50
boost controller $5.00 at Home Depot

If you open up a boost controller and boost cut is in tact, you will hit it everytime you hit 12psi, that would be a sure way to tell what you're boosting. But I have to think that the reaction from hitting boost cut can't be good for your car. $5 for a boost controller and $50 for a boost gauge seem miniscule to the damage that could be done to repeatedly hitting boost cut. Just my $.02.

88 MX6 Turbo boosting 15psi. AdamTurbo chip. 2" custom IC piping. TurboXs type RFL BOV. TurboXS boost controller. 280zx Turbo hood scoops. Denso Iridium plugs. 7 Autometer gauges 5"monster tach. Civic STS. Energy suspension sway-bar endlinks. MSD Blaster2 coil. and many more mods.
WARNING!This car is equiped with a turbo, my suggestion is to put your head back and enjoy the ride.
Due to lack of interest, today has been cancelled.
