I had seats from a Lexus IS300, I could never figure out how to hook them up and make them work..so i got rid of them for more than I bought them for

pretty much anything will fit with some time and effort, I don't have the center console though

I'm sure the probe seat would bolt up no problem as the floor pan is basically the same. The question is whether you can put the mx6's seat on the probe's frame. The bottom part of the seat below the upholstery does look very similar. This would be a pretty badass mod since I would love some more seat adjustability.

silver, you might want to consider swapping in the seats from an mx6 lx or gt. They are much more supportive and superior to the flat dx seats.

the problem with the probe seats are the same problem with the DX seats, because they are the SAME seat. the probe seat is a DX seat with power options(or more manual options) i have 2 perfect power seat frames i'd turn loose of for cheap, im not sure if you can get the LX/GT cushions to fit, but my probe's seats were so uncomfortable that i put 89 626 LX seats in, and ahhh it feels lke driving a 6.
The power part is real nice, i miss that, but i didnt want to take the time to try to swap it since the interior is going grey anyhow. one more thing to consider... the DX/probe seats are 1" lower then the other seats... when i put the LX seatas in my probe, tall people have a problem if they want to lower the seat.

I do know that GT seats are lower than LX seat. As much as I like the idea of power... not sure if the extra weight would be worth it. Also not sure if the "power" plug is there in the MX6 or not. Also pretty sure its only a power drivers seat.

the power seat rack isnt really all that heavy. to hook up the power to it all you need to do is find a constant 12v+ and then wire it into that. and yes it is only for the driver side.

I have a problem in my GT with my head rubbing the ceiling. The only way to not rub is to keep the sunroof shade opened, if I close it I have to sit with my neck bent or slouched, and that sucks. If I do sit up perfectly straight, even with the sunroof shade open I still rub the sunroof, our seats sit too high.

I dont think you're right about that. My LX's seats were identical to GT seats. I think you're thinking of 626 seats vs. mx-6 seats.

You can make a "hybrid" seat by putting the LX/GT cushions on a DX seat base. This will give you a significant amount of additional headroom if you're tall like me and need it. The LX and GT seats are most certainly the same, and sit at least an inch higher than the DX seats, even with the LX/GT seats on the lowest height adjustment setting. Of course, the fabrics are slightly different between 88-89 and 90-92 and the seat belt mounting is slightly different on 90-92 so make sure you get the right year range seat base if you do the hybrid.

Another problem is with the height adjustment bar welds breaking on the LX/GT seats. Swapping to the dx (non-height adjustable) seat also solves the problem if you don't want to fix the weld.

I suppose it could of been a 626 front leather seat that I picked up, but from the part number it was for the MX6. It base was taller than my original seats and I had to swap some of the parts. The cool thing is that the weld that breaks in the drivers seat was done ALL THE WAY around and is much stronger than my original one that was breaking.
