just curious, since most newer cars have that metel mesh on the exhaust to allow for engine movement on the motor mounts, where does our stock exhaust system flex when the motor moves on it's mounts?
Mine doesnt, I've seen LX/DX's that do in the junkayard, and I have been under numerous GT's none of which have had flexpipes. The flexing occurs on the joint of the downpipe and catalytic converter. One goes into the other and is attached by two springs which allow flexion.
Do you all remember Ponykillerprobe......something like that.
Well thats his downpipe, it looks crush bent so dont even bother. It will make some sort of difference but for that much a full turbo-back system could be made. I got mine done for $125
