I don't think anyone can look cool in a cycling helmet, dude. Not even Diddy.

It's fun though, I have a Trek 1000, which isn't a top of the line bike by any means, but it's ridiculous how much quicker it is than mtn. bikes. Cycling actually takes me back to my ol' banana-seat one-speed bike from when I was eight or nine. My gf has this ridiculous custom-built Marinoni that cost more than my 'six ever did, and she rides long distances regularly.

i like to ride my bicycle

On a positive note...

Great to hear that higher gas prices are leading to more people walking/cycling/busing or easing off on the gas pedal. I can almost see the smog weakening. Keep it up (gas prices, that is).

Rich.

How is "Saving Gas" anything at all to do with "Performance" of any kind???!!!

to have performance, you need horsepower, to have horsepower, either you need horses, or lots of expensive juice flowing steadily to your injectors.

if you want to save gas, dirve soft and slow with good maintenance, and no aircon. if you are interested in performance, be prepared to get out your wallet. my tank costs me $100nz to fill with 98RON now, i still get 55km per 10litre. i earn $200nz per week, and fill up that often. stop whinging.

who sitckied it?

shift it to general automotive, afterall, it isnt 6 specific. let alone 1G, and certainly not "other performance"

Depends on your definition for performance.

It seems to me that burning fuel is a function, and better fuel economy can be a desired function. That means as long as you are going after better gas mileage, fuel economy is performance. I don't see anything around here saying this is an aggressive performance section.

Well, not many 2G'ers run higher grade gasoline. Good ole 87 does them fine, as 99% of them are NA.

i never heard of an ivtech being called a performance motor, did you? performance in the context of cars, means cornering, accelerating, and braking in a good strong way, it doesnt mean using the least gas possible(ride a bike) or ride comfort, or anything much else.

over here, it isnt just the 98 thats up to extreme numbers, the sh itty 91 is 1.5 times it value 2 years ago too, so gas saving measures apply to all.

just seems to be in the wrong place.
