Help Car Is Messed Up!!!!!!!!

so i put my chip in last night starts right up but my idle is super low and i cant shift past 4g this is my first turbo car so i dont really know alot about them its a 89 1g mx6 2.2 turbo if i try and shift past 4 i just hear a bunch of loud like blow off valve sounds plz help me and sorry to sound like a newb but i am to the mazda's

Are you sure you got the right chip?
What chip did you get?
Installed correctly?
Did you check the basic stuff like plugs,wires,fuel filter,vac leak,ect....?

it's the right chip iv'e been reading some stuff im gonna have to go back and re check the soldering plugs wires filter are all good and dont seem to have any vac leaks

Have you tried switching back to the original chip just to see what will happen?

i dont have the original chip anymore and ya i got my car like 2 weeks ago

un plug the battery wait 3-5 minutes the connect the battery.

I think I have a stock '88 chip laying around, was in the trunk when I bought my car.

no its not a ebay chip and the guy who put it in had tossed the stock chip but ya what ever i got a new ecu comin today
