What the heck fredio why do you send me a private message on someone elses forum when your a member on mine too? lol.
Anyways in Japan and maybe some other places you can still get the "B2200" and it basically has the MX6 head on it with the distributor in the same places as the old 8-valve versions and an intake manifold that comes up and over the engine. As far as I know everything else in the engine is the same as the cars listed earlier, except maybe the cam profile. Go to an import supplier and tell them you want a 12-valve B2200 engine, you should be able to get it for about $1k after freight. |

If you plan to run MS, dump the disty and use a ford EDIS ignition setup.

infact yes, i just checked. i've been meaning to make a thread on that over there, but havent got to it yet. as for 12v 8v us everywhere else... it was a yank that first made me realise that both were available in a post somewhere on this site. buggered if i can find it. he claimed to have owned a couple of each, and considering he was just correcting my bad info, i have no reason to doubt him... whoever he was... so yes, you can get em. also, you can get the 2.2 in vans also... dunno about valvage :-) sick, pm me what you put in carcenomies quote, i'm guessing it was rude/funny, hence the edit... for reference, as i grew up my "ute" was always "the truck" and that name fitted well. only more recently have i started calling it the ute. i guess i just like the ring of it. i used to correct people that called it a ute, informing them that it had a hydraulic tipper and thus was a truck LOL... those were the days. swap in the dohc, you'll like it ;-) fred. |
