Thumbs up trailing arm upgrade

Wasn'y my idea, but I've recently learned that the 2g tubular trailing arms will bolt right up to the 1gen....a less expensive alternative to the awr ones....Went to Eric's ( mazdameister) "Mazda Parts Emporium" & grabbed me a set & painted them w/ the leftover from my caliper paint kit. The bushings are in such nice shape, I don't think I'll replace those....here's a pic

I'll post a pic of them on the car later....probably this weekend I'll get under there & bolt em on!!!

'90 pgt.....the usual mods...........ps....I don't ask questions prior to searching Founder of the home for the grammatically challenged.....few pics of my baby!!... http://s212.photobucket.com/albums/c...izzo90_photos/

Same size and everything? Can you post a side by side picture before you install them?

Please Add a post w/pic in this thread: http://www.mx6.com/forums/1g-mx6-gen...nge-guide.html (1G Parts interchange guide)

further note.....the pgt ones seem thicker in diameter than the mx6 ones....OR it could just be a year to year change, beacuse I looked @ a set from each while I was there, either way a nice upgrade for 1 gen guys who can't afford awr's.....God knows every time I try to save up for 'em....something allways happens....so I am glad to have come across these.

Thumbs up

well I got em on but takin the old ones off was a bitch. I had to get my dremel & cut em off, it was then that I noticed just how much of a piece of crap the stock arms really are.

apparantly my old ones were the source of a knocking noise I kept hearing in the rear that I couldn't identify because now it is gone. Only noticeable difference I felt was that it feels like it's letting the adco rear sway bar do a better job @ tightenening the rear end up.....for 10 bux....best upgrade or the bucks I've ever done

on the car
