sure, where in VA are you? right now im still trying to get a harness setup in the car, so it's without seatbelts, but that should be fixed soon, even if it is only a temp solution until i can make a decent harnessbar.

High compression F2's ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/763064

by stock, z probably meant stock + boost upped and exhaust, ie, no new cooler, ems, turbo, injectors, head, cam, etc etc. Also, you could strip the f2t out just the same and run high 11's like shwine did...

true but that to me is mildly modded not stock. point is: the n/a can be made to run high 14s with weight reduction and bolt on.and thats on 100% stock unopen motor.

I havent done that experiment myself, but going on pure conjecture I would say that this is an easy answer. The times would be even faster.

But the question isnt what motor would do better than the F2. I imagine there are tons of them out there that are known quantities. None of that answers the question of whats possible with the F2. Not one bit.

I am also too far down the road on my project to start a parallel project with the F2. When I had my LX 10yrs ago I wondered what was possible with the engine then...the same questions(and the same attitude against that kind of inquiry) exists today. Its a shame really.

I've got news for you, she was filming all of those ;-)

She was in the passenger seat on the "closed road" I did the 0 - 170 on and she was in the stands at manfeild while I hammered it round the track :-)

Fred.

DonŽt know if this is the right place to ask, but since this thread is about building an F2.

IŽd like to know how much would you guys suggest to take material off from the head (by resurfacing) to achieve 10:1 compression with stock pistons?

Do as GtDreamDXbudget did.. rather than shave the head.. just mill it to make sure it is flat, then get custom pistons. That is a safer, easier, and will get your to 10:1 compression in better way.

milling the head will gain you a bit of compression, however, in order to mill it far enough for our cereal bowl like pistons, you'd have to take so much off that you'd have problems with mounting, the timing belt wouldnt set right... its not taking off a few hundreds.. you'd be taking off tenths.... ohh.. and i just paid isky for a custom ground cam... hopefully it'll be in soon
