Well I finally go word from corksport about the goofy rear camber plates I recieved.
Its a TYPO. Thats right. All these years Cusco has had a typo in their catalog and no one has ever called them on it until now. Yay me Corksport has been going through their catalogs and they have found the error going back as far as 1999. What kills me is that, it seems, not one person has ordered these items in more than 4 years. Not one. How sad. I may return them and get my money back..but yet I think there may be something I can do with these plates. "necessity is the mother of invention", Hmm. Maybe. I'll have to think abouth this more. In the meanwhile I will continue with the GCs. I had put everything on pause whilst I find out what was going on with the cuscos. Gavin |

evo626 and 1988riceburner. this post is for you(and just about anyone else reading this post)
Other happenings.. I have found a place to order my swaybars. 22mm fronts and 20mm rears (BMF32, BMR47) from Whiteline (www.whiteline.com.au). The bars are relatively cheap at 109$ apiece. Shipping depends on where you live. They are an Australian company well known in Subaru circles. They are available through MRT performance in the US. They have a listing of Shops in the US that distrubute their products. http://www.whiteline.com.au/dealers_usa.htm I ordered mine through 185performance.com , a shop in colorado that deals with toyotas. They were prompt, knew the products and were quick with information. They normally consolidate orders monthly to save on shipping costs from australia. Their next order goes out within the next 2 weeks, shipping from australia is 3-4 weeks. MRT also distributes www.superpro.com.au . Urethane suspension bushings. They have a fitment for the FRONT ONLY for the 1st gen MX6(626GD). I have these on my car now. They are very nice pieces. SPF1278-80k(front control arm bushing/front), SPF1278-70(front control arm bushing/rear). A lot of folks here like to drag their cars. With 12-15yr old bushings the front control arms will deflect a lot and get sloppy. At its worst the arms will toe in and cause darty handling on takeoff and high speed. I would say that bushings(or new control arms) are a must to maintain correct alignment of the control arms. It was interesting to note that 185performance mentioned (on their own)that they can get bushings for the MX6. Perhaps they have an eye out for mazdas also? EDIT: That distributor link doesnt seem to work. Go to whiteline>how to purchace>usa. That will get you the listing of us shops that carry whieline. Gavin Last edited by gavin : 3-31-03 at 16:46. |

Sorry I havent kept things moving here. Ive been tied up with other random happenings.....including participating in Mazdas Rev It Up over the weekend
Seriously though, this is the best 40$you could spend this year. It was an awesome event. www.mazdarevitup.com I finished 90th overall out of 1200 or so people. I didnt kill any cones so I was happy with my first attempt . Mazda6's handle very well and have a lot more ability than you would think. Mazdaspeed Proteges are zippy. Falken Azenis are grippy. Best porta-potties in the known universe. For a while I had wondered if I was being a bit excessive on this project but after attending my first performance driving/autocross event I am SURE I am on the right track. I cant wait for upcoming track days, this is the life. This project WILL be over by this month. Count on it ![]() Gavin Last edited by gavin : 4-1-03 at 18:17. |

Well I have found out a bit about my Cusco mixup. Turns out the plates are for the GE(2nd gen) chassis not the GD which was listed in their catalogue(took a trip to the junkyard to figure that one out). I think the plates may also fit the Protege. Not that any of this helps me in any way
I do have an idea for the GE camber plates though. I am enlisting the help of a board member to see if my idea will work. Stay tuned .Speaking of board members. I managed to inherit Adamturbo's B-pillar brace Stainless steel, one piece(the attatchment points are welded on at the angle of the b-pillars). Very strong constructionSince he now has a full rollcage he was willing to part with it. It was originally designed for the 88GT that had manual seatbelts. I may have to revert to those if I cant get the autobelts to work with it. Hmm. I did say that I was going to get this all done by the end of the month. Didnt I? ![]() Gavin Last edited by gavin : 12-13-03 at 18:30. |

4 camber kits? You don't need 4 camber kits. You don't even need 2. With these cars, I don't think there's much point to them. There's very little camber gain in a strut suspension. Some (most older) Hondas use them because of the double wishbone setup.
