i've done it on mine. the only problem is it takes a little longer to get to running temperature, and thus it runs really rich for a few extra minutes, besides that it runs perfect.

and if you didn't want to do that, you could always wire in a 3-wire universal, and the others would be to heat up the o2 sensor.
