Hi Chris, I take it you are the person who contacted me on ebay

I am assuming you have used the original 1.8 exhaust manifolds and downpipes, you are running a ZE ECU and a JE50 VAF, and the original O2 sensors are still in place ?

Not using the O2 senors is going to cause the ecu to run rich, you will get oil residue in the inlet neck, its part of the crank breather system, but if you have puddles of oil in there, then you have a problem, it might be that you may have connected up some vac pipes incorrectly that is causing the smoke.

Pics if you can of the engine bay, (dont worry if the reply does nto show straight away, new member pics and urls need to be authorised by a mod), and as much info on the change as possible.

We have a lad on here with a ZE lump in his MX3, i'm sure he will have some answers for you if asked.
