Gas rant
Ive gotten a few emails from people saying not to buy from Exxon Mobil oil/gas station suppliers. I'm sure you've all seen it too. Does anyone know what gas companies or stations buy their fuel from Exxon? Obviously they have their own Exxon Mobil stations but I wonder if Marathon, Sheetz or the other companies buy from the middle east?? BP's source is British origin so more than likely its not being pumped out of the middle east. I already made a vow never to use Mobil1 oil (regardless if its related to Exxon) because in turbo engines that synthetic garbage bakes completely in less than 100 miles.
As for the gas prices, its $4.00/gal here in Akron for 87 and that is absurd. In 1999 I was paying 0.88/gal for 87. And in Georgia I paid $.68/gal on trip to Florida!! This is total BS how the oil companies are saying their record growth profit margins are "in line with supply and demand". In Iran and Iraq petrol costs less than $0.40/gal. Granted they have the oil and natural gas resources on tap but it doesn't cost that much to export it to the US. I dont know what to do other than scream as I fill up and it costs $60. CRAZINESS! Seems like just a few months ago it was only $35 to fill up and its rediculous how much it's went up since last year. Anyone else ready to buy a moped?
