Well if your car is well maintained I dont see why not if you want to run it at the track. If you haven't done much performance wise I dont think you would have to worry about braking axles or anything especially if you say they've been replaced. But in the end its all up to you if you want to take the chance with it. I think you should be fine as long as you don't have any major malfunctions going on with it. You probably did feel much of a power gain if you plugged the hose back in. If you were talking about the vacuum line on the intake you probably had a vacuum leak from hell going on. Just remember that if you beat on your car you Will replace parts more regularly then if you don't beat on it., so if your going to... make sure you keep doing regular maintenance on it. pretty common sense tho...
