I would fix the clutch line issue, but not swap in the other tranny. As it sits now it is completely driveable, and I've taken it out and driven it around recently to wake it up a little bit. All the gears go in fine, but 5th will pop out under load. You can cruise on flat ground in 5th easily, but no hills or much acceleration.
I don't have the bearings, seals, and a new clutch/flywheel to replace while the tranny is off, which are all "one of those things" that should be done while you can. The original clutch still holds fine, and a potential buyer may want to leave it in there, or put in a new oem one, or stage 2, etc.
I would take the tranny and steering components out of the parts car and put them in the back of the 626 for transport. With the clutch line sealed up and not taking in air, I would trust it to make it to NY.
