Looby,
"car runs and drives fine? before clutch went..."
> Yes, it has a great engine. It goes to show for the fact that it has 216K miles with a factory turbo. If it was driven hard, the block would have shown signs a while back, fo sho!
"how bad does the sunroof leak?"
>The back drain plugs are clogged, so if the car is parked facing uphill in the rain, when it's moved downhill or you hit the brakes, the water will come mostly in the passenger side and some on the drivers side. I always tried to park it facing downhill and it didn't leak nearly as much. There is also a faint bit of left over tape from around the sun roof from when I tried to tape it up one summer, and that didn't work so well.
Also the sunroof motor is broken and it won't crank open, (I think it just needs a good cleaning) but the sliding cover works well.
"will this thing pass emission test?"
>I don't think so, the cat is gutted. I didn't have to pass emissions where I live.
"is it drivable?"
>No, not from a stand still. It is stuck in 3rd gear, I tried to shift out, but I couldn't get it moved into any other gear. When that issue happened, my wife came and got me rolling with her car and I could drive fine in 3rd ...it's just not shifting from that gear as is. This car should be towed, or if you have to...third gear worked for me...just have someone behind you to help you from a stand still...lols (not recommended)
"does it still have the AAS?"
>It has the parts but they are not installed, they are in the trunk. When I replaced the struts, I chose the KYBs without AAS. The AAS parts worked before I removed them though. Here are the AAS part numbers >
Rear - Upper Actuator, PN: GJ22-28-080A ($161.65 if ordered from dealer)
Rear - Actuator Casing, PN: GJ22-28-084B ($10.70 if ordered from dealer)
Front - Actuator, PN: GJ22-34-080A ($161.65 if ordered from dealer)
Front - Mount Cap, PN: GJ23-34-019 ($6.85 if ordered from dealer)
"havent like upped the boost to the point a stock clutch will not hold right?"
>A stock rebuilt clutch will work fine, I didn't up the boost anymore than factory settings. When I rebuilt the turbo, I did it with all factory parts so it should have factory boost.
Thanks for posting.
