Kwikfits policy is that if its blowing cold air when you leave then its job done. If you have a failing system, pump, pipework, leaks, stuffed condensor etc then its your fault, not theirs.

Always be wary of places that offer a service but dont carry out repairs or have replacement parts. Kwikfit dont fix aircon systems, only refill AFAIK.

I had mine done 2 weeks ago, by a mate. He has a portable machine that does a vac test before filling but even then you get leaks. After filling they have to go round looking for the dye with an ultraviolet light, and if a leak shows they draw out the re-fill and refuse to do it but i'm not sure if Kwikfit do this.

Dont get it refilled unless its leak tested 1st, otherwise its going to get expensive.
Kwik Fit dont-you have to have a previously working system, they just fill it up but dont do the proper checks and tests. I was going to take mine in, but I dont even know if my system works, so i decided its better to take it to a proper place, so anything that can be fixed, will be fixed.

the valve I am thinking of is on the left as you look on the engine, little blue/black cap sticking off the silver air con pipe at an angle. sort of opposite the oil dip stick, just check that is screwed on properly...

I FIXED MY CAR-WE FIXED MY CAR!!
