I may be trying this soon. I want to take a crack at lightening my mx6 by stripping the interior. I might even take all the HVAC stuff out while I'm in there. It looks like it would be easy to unbolt all the stuff behind the dash. It's of no use to me anyway. I don't drive the car in rain or cold weather and the windows let in enough air.
Then I'll see if I can find a 93-94 dash with no passenger air bag and maybe I'll modify it a bit.
