E-spec lights house both sidelights and headlights. The two nearer the centre of the car are sidelights, these are low level 5w bulbs. The main beam emanates from the outer bulbs, whilst the high beam (occasional use) also emanate from a similar area to the sidelights. We don't have day-runners over here.
We're RHD in the UK, I don't know if the lights are any different in mainland Europe (LHD) than they are here. I suspect not as cost may have been an issue?
