How to install after market antenna...

Well today i was changing the antenna and i decided to take some pics so other people can follow if needed
I know there is a write up already but with no pics..but i like pics. so here we go.

first you need to diconnect the plug and ground from the antenna.

then we diconnect the base from the antenna use a rag if you want to protect the chrome..

there is a small hose that needs to be connected to the new antenna.

then we connect everything back but with the new antenna...
connecting the wires as follow.

the new antenna will come with a female connector so you need to buy an adaptor or if you rather split the cables and attach them to the new ones is fine as well.

and you are done ..20 minutes max.

Nice writeup, but one thing.

If you dont want to scratch the chrome with a wrench, See those to small holes in the chrome part? Take 2 picks and spin it off then you dont have to clamp the outside and risk bending/scratching.

Copying to projects for you.
