Custom made Throttle Linkage for a KLZE in MX3.

**Meant to post in the 2G MX6 Other Performance Mods section, If a Mod could move it I will then remove this message.

A customer brought me a KLZE and an MX3 (V6) with engine removed, he said it bolted right in.
Originally he just wanted me to install it (he would do the rest), then he wanted everything hooked up....
But forgot a few details: Manifold and pipes don't line up, Power steering pump needs swapping, wire harness on block.....

Anyway, he mentioned at some point that I might have to use the 1.8l V6's Throttle body because the 2.5l TB wont fit with the brake master (He bought a KLZE with straight intake manifold).

Well the first thing I noticed was the 1.8l TB flap was much smaller. Second observation was the plug for the lower sensor/controller was in the brake lines and there was no way to plug the harness to it.

This plug on the KLZE throttle body is on the other side and can be plugged to the harness but the Giant 2.5L throttle linkage would by half way into the brake master.
Why is the throttle linkage made so large, why the second long pickle shaped linkage?

The most simple solution (and best for horse power) was to build a new throttle linkage for the KLZE throttle body.
So again I used some 1st gen Mx6 GT parts, I cut the upper lip (for the auto trany kick down wire) off a 1st gen's throttle linkage, then I welded a washer to a small flat piece of steel and shaped it like the 2.5l's to hold the plastic sleeve and throttle springs, then welded the 1st g linkage to the bracket I made.
(Note, the 1st g linkage had a larger hole in the center and required modification to fit the 2.5l throttle shaft.)

However there was nothing to stop the throttle body from opening past fully opened, so I added a stopper to the bracket thats welded to the washer:

Now to address the throttle cable, position and adjustment, Used a first Gen throttle cable bracket, and did some cutting, welding and bending:

I adjusted the gas pedal a bit and it works great, plenty of clearance with the brake master, and works perfectly with the pedal.

BUILD IT, BEAT IT, BRAKE IT, REBUILD IT, BEAT IT MORE, BRAKE IT AGAIN, BUILD IT BETTER, BEAT IT THE MOST AND ?
Figuring out speed limits in Quebec:
(cornering) The speed at wich your car will break traction and leave the road -1 km/h .(staight line) In the highest gear, when the car is red lined .
Those who do not respect these "SPEED LIMITS" should keep of the roads of QUEBEC.
