Post easy way to wire halos - 10 steps

i found this way to wire them on a thread deep in the forum. i am going ot explain it in detail for people like me who have no clue what splicing is, and who dont have a soldering iron.

1. this is once you have everything on the angel eyes working except the halos.

2. remove the parking light/blinker bulb from the housing, then remove the bulb (not the actual bulb, but the fixture), from the wiring. there is a white thing you need to press down on with a small flathead screwdriver and seperate the two parts.

3. once you have the bulb sperated, there are three wire coming from the white peice, one is red, but may look orange if faded, there should be red, black, and strip. we are only dealing with the red.

3.5 slice down the large black insulation that is around all 3 wires, at least 2 inches.

4. take a small thin knife, pokcet knife is what I used, and cut a slit in the red wire that goes parallel with the wire, not across it like you are stripping it. we want to preserve the insulation for finishing.

5. slowly and carfully work the actuall strands away from the insulation so that there is small space between the strands the insulation,

6. cut the barrel off the red wire from the halo, and strip 1/2 inch of insulation down, then press the strands a tight together as possible.

7. slip the exposed strands from the halo through the space between the parking light red wire and parking light red wire insulation.

8. wrap the halo strands around untill they cant anymore.

9. take a small peice of elec. tape and slip it through the space between the red wire insulation and the halo/parkinglight strands. wrap the elec tape up.

10. ground the black wire somewhere, then test.

ill get back with picture when I do my left headlight since my right is all sealed up.

Talking Finally

I have been looking for this information for several months now -- I even opened a couple of threads requesting this info, and NO ONE gave any specific details about splicing like you have, which is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.

That's not the point, stock they don't I wired my halos to them, so my halos don't blink.

For some reason a lot of your posts are starting to make less and less sense.
