I think hotnight is on the aug 10th weekend this year..

You should almost try to find someone parting out a 6 down there and buy the doors then have them shipped to this guy...

cf interior would be great, but expensive. also, cf splitters/lips for front and rear would be awesome. side skirts too. maybe similar to the AutoExe ones for the rx8.

and maybe a cf spoiler to go with it. a low profile one, maybe shaped like stock or either mazdaspeed rx8 or 99 spec rx7.

rims would be very cool too. but Im sure it would be expensive to make them. but it has been done - Konigsegg CCX can come with them. But thats an extremely expensive car...

oh and FYI, a moonroof is glass while a sunroof doesn't let light in unless open, like ours. asking for CF moonroof is like CF windows.

then why does it list as a moonroof i wonder? the point of a sunroof i thought was suppose to let light in...(hence the glass..) you dont call a skylight in a house a moonlight do you?

OMG, not this [fizzle]ing argument again.

Sunroof - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
Historically, sunroofs have been opaque and open to the air to allow the sun to shine directly into the vehicle, while moonroofs have generally been transparent or semi-transparent and designed to remain closed while allowing muted light to penetrate the vehicle.

i've heard of maybe like one mx6 with a glass moonroof but i seriously dont know if it just came that way when the guy bought it or if it was custom. thank you neal for proving that a little research can go a long way.

Thanks SAdrmmr. And if you do happen to have a freakishly rare moonroof 93speedstud, i'll buy it from you.

*laughs* Heh, carbon fiber engine block. HELL YEAH!

Personally, I never really understood the whole carbon fiber styling thing. I guess it looks kind of cool, but if I could have any carbon fiber on my mx6 at all, I would have every outside panel replaced with a REAL carbon fiber substitute. Shed a few hundred pounds or so, eh? I read an article on a Nissan 300Z that had almost every metal part replaced with a carbon fiber one. The cost was roughly 30 large, but it shed, like, 600 pounds or something off the weight of the car. And DANG of that wouldn't make all the difference!

And in regards to HotNight in Kamloops, when is that going down? I only live a few hours from Kamloops. Used to go skiing near there all the time.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but the official "Show'N Shine" portion of Hot Nite In The City is Aug 11 (Saturday)

Back to the original thread, whatever item is chosen for production *crosses fingers and wishes for sun/moon roof* how long till production? roughly..
