Need Help!

I'm new to this site, and I just got the Mx-6

There is bumper damage and headlight damage.
I just got $6,000 from selling my 300ZX

and I want to upgrade this car, I need help deciding what's best.

I ordered a Lip Kit, and some VHT Nite Shade.

Now the only question I have is, what kind of headlights should I get?
I really like the way the Dual Halo Projectors look on my car, but I hear that the output is horrible. I like the JDM output, but not so much the looks. I want to get Xenon bulbs for the Halo's but I'm not sure if it's possible.

Any Suggestions for the headlight problem? Also would like suggestions for what other mods I should get.

do you have a link for some good quality long lasting HIDs?
specifically the white/blue colored bulbs.

jspecs are head and shoulders above any other "off the shelf" option.

if you have some time, skill, and patience, you could try retrofitting your aspecs with some HID's and projectors

I'm new to all this headlight stuff, I'm still confused.

My 96 Mx6 is black and I saw the dual black halo projectors and I figured it would look good but the output isn't good.

jspec, aspec = a diff language to me.

Wow nvm I'm an idiot, so Jspec headlights are basically like the stock headlights except better?
I'm looking for a way to get some xenon HIDs into the Halos, is it possible?

jspec=japanese specific
espec=europe specific
aspec=american specific

jspec=plastic, one oiece lens, projector, designed for halogen capable of HID

espec=two piece (head and corner) glass lens, projector, designed for halogen capavle of HID

aspec
=two piece (head and corner) plastic lens, no projector designed for halogen, CAN work with HID but will blind others and is strongly discouraged

angel eye
(what you are talking about)=different types available, one has two normal reflector lights (highs and lows) and a blinker. Now there are some available with a cheap projector in the low beam pod. LED halo rings around headlight pods. Fairly cheap construction, and widelt regarded as worst light output. Not able to suport HID due to heat issues. Could do HID if you retrofit a projector from another car, but sounds like that is out of your league.

AVERAGE prices

jspec=300-400 can be had for less if ya try. have gone as high as 700 at times
espec=300-500
aspec=20-50 check local junkyards
angel eyes=75-200 for new, price varies massively

Fitment
jspec-requires trimming of radiator support to fit into american car
espec-requires trimming of radiator support to fit into american car, has it's own corner lens, can use aspec corner with modification
aspec-direct replacement
angel eye-fitment quality varies, some have had wiring issues

that ought to help you, and many others in the future.

i tried to be as unbiased as i could be

Sounds like I'm getting the J-specs. I like the Angel Eye and all but there's really no way for me to get a good output from them.

Thank you Kansas. I really appreciate it.

btw nice car Hughes.

I have the halos, I don't mind the output. Plus they're sexy, ask Kansas.

My two-cents, Jspec all the way! It'll be perfect for your application. Now me, I wanted something different, so I retro-fitted my aspecs with projectors from a brand new Maxima. Did the same for the foglights too! It's sexy as hell and the only way to go if you have the time, skill, and interest...not to mention materials.
