the cut off plate is supposed to be on the bottom because of how the housing reflects light out onto the car. so are the lense clean but dull as in foggy or are the lens clear but some how the light output is bad?

i sanded mine down with a really high grit and then at my buddy's shop we buffed the hell out of um several times. I just need to do that to my foglights now, cause my j-specs make them look dirty.

Try aiming it, if the projectors are aimed too high, you'll lose some light. I remember the light output was still pretty good with halogan bulbs. What type of bulb are you using?

Unless you've got lower Kelvin or higher wattage H3, otherwise H3C and H3 are the same.
