New angel eye lense?

Hey guys, a rock must of rocketed towards me at lightning speeds and smashed into the lense of my angel eyes... I got a set a couple years ago and now i gotta buy another set but as i look at the ones on ebay, it seams like the middle lense (between the inner lense and the turn signal lense) is different than the inner lense. Now the ones i own all have the same projector lenses, which are the inner lenses found on the ebay lights. Did they change up the heads since ive bought them? Im afraid to buy off ebay and then recieve the same exact product i have without that diff lense (cause is they did change them, which thats what it looks like, i love the way it looks)

The new kind has a crappy 'projector' in them, that's why it looks different. The projector is no good for if you're trying to go HID though. Search for some of Stealth's posts about the angel eye projector; if you plan on going HID, it's best to upgrade to an OEM projector off a high-grade car (eg; Audi, Lexus, etc).

ive got the second 'projector' ones. They look sweet coming down the road. They are the same color as regular lights, but they have a way different look to them when theyre on. They seem to light up rather well too. i think i got mine for 150 ish about a year ago, so for 99 its a good deal as far as im concerned.

I saw the single picture of it at night in your cardomain, but can you take a few more and post them up (either here or cardomain)? I'm intrigued...

i wish i would have cought this post last night.. but i'll take some pics tonight and post them up here (sence i finally know how). On mine the outside 'halo' rings both burned out/dont work anymore. I dont know why, they just did. you cant see them much anyways with the regular headlights on. The inside halos are super bright and they look good still.
btw, the brights on the projector headlights are sweet, i have litterally drove thru town with them on (by accident) and NO ONE flashed me to turn them off, but they light everything up.
pics tonight for ya.

the pictures really dont do them justice at all.

Hey cf_z, I noticed the auction says that they are a direct replacement, 'plug and play' part, what was the installation like? Did you have to do any manual wiring yourself? What powers the halos?

Any tips you could give me are great I like the look of this type of light..

i got the plug and play ones and that is only for the lights the halos need there own power from what ever you feel. Lots of people tap into their turn signals for power for the halos I but a cheap fog light kit and used that to power them its up to you..

the installation of them was a breeze. they have 2 fork type clips that slide under the bolts that used to hold the original headlights. and YES, they come with all wires for the headlights/brights in a clip. The turn signals you have to pull out of the old corner lights, and they skrew into the angel eyes.
The only thing you have to wire are the halo's. its very simple if you know anything about wiring (or can match colors..). I ran them inside the car to a switch undernieth my dash, so that i can turn them on or off whenever i want. any more questions ide be glad to answer

You kiddos have it so easy, when I got my halos 5 years ago, they sure as hell weren't "plug and play", they were "plug and don't work, figure it out your damn self."

haha .. i was worried they werent gonna be right somehow.. because well.. it IS eBay.. but after about 10 months of driving they still are holding up pretty good. the two outside halos have either burned out, or were just manufactured like crap (thats my guess, sence LEDs dont usually burn out).

yeah those halos burn out pretty quickly, i had mine for about a year and a half before one of the outer ones started to go and made my car look cock-eyed

That's actually the exact reason why I never bothered hooking my halos up, I didn't want to end up having one burnt out and be left with it looking uneven. But then, there's always this to fix it yourself:
