Redline shift boot height for B&M STS

I just got a B&M short throw shifter and was wondering if anyone know what size boot to get from our vendor Redline that does the custom shift boots. It has options for inches shorter but I don't know what size to get. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was wondering the same, I was thinking of ordering it 1.5" shorter. Anything would be better than the stock length.

Yeah, I just don't want a huge extra part of shift boot there once I install the B&M. My B&M looks just like the ones that are on ebay though. I did buy it off ebay but it's in a B&M box with instructions and everything. I'll post a pic of it and maybe you guys can tell me if it's a genuine one or if I got ripped off. I payed over $100 for it so I hope it's real.

Don't shorten the boot. Look for pics of my interior. I have the stock length boot and that same lever. It would look stupid in my opinion if you shortened the boot.

if you go on their website the pic used is MY shifter/knob/car. it is an ebay b&m knockoff with a shortened boot. i dont know how much shortened tho. i just told them to shorten it... sorry. but at least it gives you an idea of what it looks like. also, keep in mind my knob extended a lot farther down the shaft than normal knobs.

also, that looks real.

The reason he wants it shorter is because he doesn't want it to look very baggy with the STS thats the same reason i shorten mine i wanted a stock looking STS......BTW that is a real B&M i have the same thing still in a box(SMH)

Why not put the B&M beside the stock shifter and measure the difference from the pivot to the top. Then order a boot that much smaller? I got mine shorter from redline to accomodate my rr shifter, but like everyone else, I have no clue how much shorter it is. And mine sags just enough to allow the shifter to move properly.

Was just talking to Baconman about this today.

I has a stock shifter sitting around so i measured it for you. From the top of the ball to the very top of the shifter is right around 9". So just measure the difference and you should be set. Good luck
