Rim/tire size question

Hey i fouund a set of rims/tires for my stock 96 mx6, i just wanted to know if they would fit. The rims are 18x7.5, 5x114.3 bolt, offset +42 and the tires are 235/40/18.

just a bit of information 235 40 18s are almost an inch taller than stock so you might have problems with rubbing

You'll sit up a bit higher but should'nt have rubbing issues. BTW the link i posted is just to show you that it has been done. Not my car.

Yea my prediction with no lowering springs, just stock, your gonna look like a 4x4. You'll probablly want to drop it.

yeah and my comment was that i thought you were lowered i am and i know for a fact that if i put tires with a 40 profile on 18s where the width is 235 they would rub. in my opinion sell the tires and get some 225 35 18s hell even a 245 35 18 has almost the exact overall diameter as stock thats what im putting on my car

haha yea it does look abit high, allrite i might be able to find someone who would be willing to trade tires, i believe the tires i have now are more of a track tire anyways, i would prefer a tire that wont wear as fast. thanks for the help guys
