After seeing this you sparked an idea in my head Drill holes in the rings a few cm apart and line em with led. Skyline brake light! not sure if it's possible cause i've never seen the back of the light. But that would be so awesome! What do you think King?

There is room for LEDs to be inserted into the rings in the back, however the rings have a bevel to them, so there is no surface for the leds to face out.. they would have to be at an angle...wich wouldnt give much of an appearence since leds are directional

If you look at the back up light, I already drill holes for LEDS in it. I might be keeping all of the bulbs and do a bulb/led combo. bulb running lights, LED for brake and signal. The leds dont light up the entire lense housing like the bulb does... im still experimenting with them.. All I did was flash an LED flash light through the housings to see what kind of light output id get.

How about deleting the rings all together and put the leds in its place. Don't they have a wide angle led? not sure if thats what its called. I think i'm going to Try that out. Not sure what size would fit in there though. Go for the ring! Skyline tails would look bada$$ on our cars.

ill get some better pics so I can show what I mean... your referring to the chrome ring around the lens right?.

If you were to use leds in the rings, they would have to be 3mm, those will barely fit
Now making a ring inside of the lens, would not be so hard

I was just looking for the sequential turn signal/brake light kits inspired by the 65 T bird and 68 shelby's because I allways thought it would look cool on our cars but I found a couple of DIY variations instead.

Enjoy.

dude thats pretty awesome.
However I already know some of those patterns would get me a few tickets.

I seen the same things on semi trucks using the 4in led tails.. they have pulsating signals or brake lights..

any ideas on what was used to do them?

what did you use to paint them? spray can auto paint or powdercoat?
