I have been quoted at 350-400 for the two front seats to be redone. But it also depends on what material you want the seats covered in. Leather is obviously more expensive. I was pretty close to getting the seats redone in black vinyl. Didnt go through with it though.

yeah its definetly not a cheap option.

search into what seats you want, cheap ones dont exactly mean comfortable. At first my spw's hurt my ass because the side cushions were to narrow. Eventually they wore down a bit.. or my ass adjusted to the seat. I payed $300 pr seat. Otherwise they are awesome seats.
Ive sat in a couple tenzo R Seats, and those are crap. Felt like material, and the sides on them are so high it makes gettin in and out of the car painful

Check that, I said alot more, I got quoted by "the least expensive guy in town" (what people tell me) to redo my fronts, he said he could cover my fronts in vinyl and put the M-edition logo on each for 500 total. I asked for leather, he said he could get a kit that did front, back, and door inserts for $1450 installed. So yea, like I said before not cheap to do...

Send a PM to Allmazda (long term member here). I think he may have a few front leather covered cushions from Mazda left over. I got mine from him. Good experience, Mazda parts, very fair price.

1994 MX-6 LS, Black, 5 Speed, tan leather, work in progress.

MX6 cosmetics

My car has the cloth interior. The drivers seat padding on the right is bare metal, and it's killing my back. I wanna get new seats.

I think it would look pretty tacky getting leather seats with a cloth rear bench.

Do you guys have any suggestions for me? I'm thinking about maybe getting some sport seats...but I don't know what to get. I'm a rather big guy, so something that could possibly move the driver position back at all, and give a wider butt area would be awesome.

Any pointers would be appreciated. (And how much weight savings would I get?)

And while we're at it, (so I don't have to go and make another thread), how can I cheaply get a dark tint on my windows without the cracks and bubbles?

Thanks guys!

Define no bubbles? I had a company here that does alot of the car dealerships do mine and the little black things on the edge of the windows really hurt the appearance of the tint IMO. They only charged 150 for all the windows. And thats removing tint as well. As far as your seat situation goes, I dont know man, I love the leather seats but your right the leather/cloth combo isn't going to work I'm glad you didn't just go ahead and do it and say you were working on all leather. Save the money and go all leather if you really want too. In the mean time maybe sit on some pillows or something Sorry man, I dont know alot about seats or prices or anything like that.

if you look again, whatd you decide? going with the racing seats? 1300 is what, 1/2 of what our cars are worth if they're in decent condition? Some people just like the cars that much. I do, but its a lot to swallow to choke that much money on some new seat covers.

True, but my (tiny) experience with seat covers has so far been they don't fit properly and tend to look tacky if the owner is a complete moron...(Which I seem to think I can be sometimes)
