probe frontend swap!!!!!

so i have a 93 LS and i've built up a 93 I4 turbo in the past....
i know someone has done a MX6 frontend swap on their probe in the past cant remember their name.... but.... has anyone ever done a probe frontend swap on a mx6???? i love the sleepy eye look and really dont want to buy a probe... some may think this is so wrong to do.. but... i think it be so right....
any comments on this idea would be great.. or if anyone knows if someone has done it in the past...

also has anyone ever made a boser hood set up on their mx6???
for those who dont know what it is... its a weld on lip to the front of the hood that VW guys do to their golfs.. it gives it the evil eye look.. i had one on my jetta when i did my golf front end swap

wow i get where your coming from on the looks of the probe front end. But with the money you would spend you could keep you mx6 and have a probe

well since they have the same chasis i am 90% sure it could be done. the other 10% would be in the customizing ect. You might be able to remove bumper fenders ect and bolt down the probes front end. But i think the probe has a larger engine bay / front are to incorporate the flip up lights. Find a rear ended probe and take the whole front off. While your at it. Grab a mustang 4.6l and its 5 speed tranny along with rear axel ect. Buy a racing fuel tank and Make us Proud! Borrow the parents check book first though

Anything can be done with enough time and money.. But Id only attemp something liek this if you (or someone close to you) is capable of doing most if not all the labor yourself .. otherwise .. Most shops prolly wont touch the project or will charge you 10x what both cars are worth combined ..

I have only seen the mx6 front on a probe .. which to me is the best way to go .. Since Im not a fan of flip lights .. IIRC .. you have to cut the fenders in half and mold them together so that the mounting holes all match up .. other than that I cant remember what all needed to be done .. Probably a lot more making an mx6 front into a probe due to the motorized headlights and all .. Try doing a search for fazda (what the hybrid car was called) .. I have some pics I saved of the car but its all after the work had been done so no progress reports on what needed to be done .. If you cant find it here check on probetalk ..

This swap has been done the opposite way before a few times (i.e. mx6 front on the probe). I really don't find the lines to flow very harmoniously in either instance. I don't think the result would be any different with a probe front end. But if you are to do it, you might consider doing the popular 300zx headlight conversion or find a set of used (they may be discontinued?) probeaddiction quad bulb projectors for a more flush look. It'd be interesting to see nonetheless, best of luck
