I have the MS Protege knob along with the MS Protege pedals. I'm perfectly happy with both.

If you had a leather one stock and it started to look crappy you can cut the leather off and the plastic underneath has the gear numbers printed on it already. Just FYI...
heh mine is on the plastic level atm which is why I want a new one ROFL

Oh and apperantly Finish line Sells these knobs and we have a partnership with them.. I'm gonna wait till tomorrow and call them up see howmuch I can get it from them for.

I have a B&M Race shifter though, so its super hard to drive without a shift knob with some mass. I would agree though that this knob is total overkill on a stock levered car. It takes away from the feel if it weighs too much. But if your lever is harder to pull back like mine, the mass gives it leverage.

I'm actually considering getting another knob. I just noticed Razo released the new RA120 which looks wicked and has a 375g weight!

After puttin on an sts.....I also went w/ a weighted knob....some off brand from ebay, but I love how it feels...not too heavy, but makes the shifts feel nice & smooth...like I am actually shifting something, doesn't feel "twiggy" at all
