Tire Sizing on Odd Rim Size

Hey im new to aftermarket rims and im thinkin of getting 17X8's..something that looks like the Konig Crosshairs or Enkei RPM2 pref. with a nice deepish lip... +40 offset seems to be most common on these rims...A. will i need spacers? B. Will these wheels cause rubbing? C. What size tire would be most recommended 235 or 245/40/17?? I plan on buying rims within this week maybe early next week at the latest...but i need to know how they will fit/if and wat i will need to make them work properly...If anyone has suggestions on rims that look similar i would like to know BSA 359's come to mind as well... im trying to find the closest match to KONiG Theory's that have been discontinued for a long time and are hard as hell to find... black w/machined lip.... this is what the theory's look like... http://www.southwestmotorsport.co.uk/8507.jpg i dont know how to post pics so they show up strate in a thread...if anyone can help with that by editing my post id appreciate it...arie thanks for the help...

I don't think you'd need spacers if you get 17x8's with 35...40mm offset. I'd recommend 225/40 17 or 225/45 17 tires to stay as close to stock wheel diameter as possible.

No, I'm actually running 215 on 17x8 without any problems. It doesn't even have the German 'tuning' look.

im running 225/45/16 on the fds and they fit great. I would go with 225/40/17 if your going with 17", you may need spacers though and maybe longer studs if you go with more than 5mm spacer. btw, the Fds are an 8" rim if im not mistaken.
