Rims

Hi all,

I would like to add 17" or 18" rims to my car and I will probably spend $500-600 with shipping on them, now here are some that I am interested in.

They are the exact same ones except different sizes. Now I was wondering which size would be better to get 17 or 18? Its a $100 difference and also If anyone can tell me what kind of tires I would need for these rims and where I can get them.

17" $500

I checked out these rims and the 18" ones are Bolt Pattern: 5x 100/114.3 (5 Lugs).

So they would fit my car right? Since you guys said 5 lugs.

So what tires would I need for these and wheres best place to buy cheap lol.

Thanks.

5x114.3 is what the mx6 is. I recently bought tires and I looked at getting tires online and directly from stores like discount tire/america's tire. I ended up getting tires from Les Schwab which is more or less in the northwest US. For me, it was a matter of price. I was deciding between the bfgoodrich g-sport supersport tires, some more expensive yokohamas, and the toyo proxes 4. I went with the proxes 4 because they were on sale and the place I got them at was near by. I could have saved on tax if I ordered from discounttiredirect.com but then I'd have to lug the tires to a place along with my wheels and pay for installation/balancing. it's all up to how much hassle you're willing to deal with to save a buck. look for summer sales, that's all I can say. Look around at local tire shops and see who has sales for the summer, like costco, or firestone or goodyear, etc. I know goodyear and michelin and bfgoodrich have rebates going on for their tires, some of which are instant rebates, some of which are the more annoying mail in rebates. if you know people at a shop, I would get tires from discounttiredirect as they give free shipping and if you're not in one of their 3 states they have warehouses at, then you save on tax too I think. they're prices are basically 20 bucks less than the in-store discount tire price.
