get some 19x7.5 and run 225/35 series rubber. Also make sure you get the correct offset, but it can be done.

Here are the stats I got from 1lowmx6 who claimed not to having any rubbing issues with his 19s:

235/35/19 on the wheels.
the rims are 19x7.5 with 40mm offset.

I run 235's on my 1g with an 8.5" and the tires are perfectly matched. How you would get a 235 on a 7.5 is beyond me. I would definitely go with 225's myself.

19x7.5? Lol pizza cutters. 235 could fit on a 7.5 no problem. Imho 19 inch wheels are too big for an mx6

Some tire manufacturers put up a recommended size of rim for their tires, like Hankook. As I understand it, if you put too wide of a tire on a rim, the sidewall ends up being less vertical than it should, increasing sidewall flex and decreasing handling as a result.

I'm sure the racing veterans have a better handle on it than I do, just warning you of the possible consequences.

It's not my style but people have offered helpful advice in here. A good wheel and tire calculator is key as well. Try this one. Wheel / tire size calculator / comparer - WHEELSMASTER

PS. I like that rear bumper. Nice work!

I'm not a fan of big wheels, but I4MX6 stuffed a set of 19x9s under his car and it looked amazing. From what I can gather by looking at it, your car doesn't see 15k miles a year, so I'd take a peek at this thread:

http://www.mx6.com/forums/gallery/19...-coffee-6.html (The 94 Mazdaspeed MX6...(56k go get a coffee))

http://www.mx6.com/forums/gallery/19...-coffee-5.html (The 94 Mazdaspeed MX6...(56k go get a coffee))

His wheels had a +45 offset, and he ran 15mm spacers to get them to clear, but, according to him, +30 offset would do away with the need for spacers. If you're running a regular strut/spring combo, you may have some clearance issues, and he said they scrubbed over small bumps, so you'd need to roll the fenders a bit, but it's something to look into if your car sees a lot of shows.

That kit looks mean, by the way. Never seen anything like it.

Those look pretty good for 19, the 6 need to be lowered some.

Hey Gale, what kind of work was done on the rear bumper? Is that a custom piece you made yourself, or did you find one like that?
