Silver/Chrome Interior Door Handles

Pardon me if this has been posted before. I searched and found nothing.

My friend and I went out to the junkyard this weekend looking for 626 parts (we have 626's). We came upon some MX-6's and after noticing the 5th gen 626 door handles looked just like the MX-6 door handles we tried swapping them.

1998-2002 626 on the left vs. 1993-1997 MX-6 door handles on the right. The only trim the silver was available on is the V6 LX.

Here we compare the mounting hardware. The 626 door handle is taken from a front door handle but all you have to do is swap the tab from your MX-6 onto it and it's a perfect match.

With that said we then noticed that the backseat 626 handles are an EXACT match including the same mounting hardware. Here's a pic of the 626 handles in the MX-6 mounting hardware.

Oh and just in case you were ever curious about the 626 fog lights no they will not work. They are very close but will not work.

Yup those door handles are a direct swap, I thought about getting them at one point, but without other chrome piece in the interior I think they might look out of place.

As for those fogs, they will bolt up, just the lens will pop up out of the bumper opening a little, I used them on my RS before.
