Sideskirt sizes from different cars

If you've ever tried to find info on MX6.com about using after-market side skirts from other vehicles on the mx-6, you no doubt ended up with a sense of confusion and frustration. That said, I was thinking about it, and think I've come up with a way to help make sense of the issue.

Since the aftermarket sideskirts are based on the distance between the front of the rear wheel well and the back of the front wheel well, it stands to reason that by comparing the 6's "skirt" length with other vehicles' skirt length, we can get at least a reasonable idea of which skirts would be workable on a six.

Please keep in mind that any skirt not manufactured for the mx-6 will need some work in order to make it fit. IMO, it would probably be easier to trim down a skirt that is longer than to try and lengthen a skirt that is shorter...but I'll leave that up to you. The purpose of this thread is merely to get some hard numbers.

So, everyone get out your tape measures, walk out to your parking lot and measure some cars. We should at least get measurements for the 2000-up celica, the two prelude styles, and the two recent 240sx styles, along with anything else you guys want to measure. Who knows? we might be able to solve the great mystery of customizing side skirts.

But there I forgot to mention that, like stated above, the front and rear you choose needs to be close to the same width that the 6's front and rears are.

it doesnt matter what car you just cut it and mold, i have 97+ integra wings west skirts on mine, AIM me up and i will show you

here is 93-98 eclipse wings west tsunami side skirts, i will update it moree, i just finished molding it and there is fiberglass/bondo and scratched paint so it looks ugly rite now, but i will update again as soon as i get the car shot im primer again. if ur wonderin, how i got it to fit, i cut the front part then just made it short enough to fit and mold the rest, im going on doing a supra tail conversion and switching to the spyder 2 wing

It's nice to see some inventiveness and creativity! I've never heard of using Eclipse skirts. What are the dimensions?

im not sure, but i had to cut them and mold it, you can just do that with everything, just make sure its not oo short, i was thinking of going with like an eclipse back bumper stock, and then mold the supra tails

Measured the Supra's side skirts and were a little over 69". Anyone have any idea how long Silvia S15 side skirts are?

99 - 03 galant side skirts fit. my brother has a galant, i test fitted them on my car before i installed on his. perfect fit, maybe a tad tad shorter (was able to stay up without any support).

Are you referring to stock oem parts or aftermarket pieces? Please specify which.... This would help us out tremendously!
