simply cause theres not near enough room under there between the 14b and front of the block for the stock 14b actuator, so with the riged up spring its like it hits at 5 and creeps to 10lbs and stops, thats how we had to settle with the boost settings. im currently working on mounting up a smaller garret actuator that i got from my old mutt level one turbo, so howfully i should be able to get that to work and then ofcourse a mbc and boost should slam and hold good at what we set it to.

yes this stock pump doesnt show any sign of slowing down so the stock dsm fuel pump wont be much of a upgrade so when or if we need it ill go with a 190 or 255. i think the manifold should be fine and able to flow good to make 250 hp, theres not much after that except a blown up stock internals.

I installed a custom turbo kit on a buddy's 4cyl 93 mx6 (fitseries4130)
14b with intake, fmic, 330cc injectors, nothing else runs good, stays rich pulls impressive on 8+lbs.

we put a custom actuator on there so its a lot nicer and hits at 11 lbs but were starting to lean out now, will need to get a bigger fuel pump/injectors/fpr in there soon.

can someone please let me know if i can install a apexi safc on this car? and have the ecu wiring diagram/schematic ??

Did you use any sort of upgraded fuel pump, or rise rate fuel managment unit (fmu) how does the car idle with larger injectors and no engine managment? at what rpm do you start to spool, and what rpm do you make your full boost level at? are you running sticky tires at the strip? what size exhaust system are you running? I assume the blow through MAS setup works well??

ya blow through worked good, no upgraded fuel pump of regulator, stock tires and they didnt hook up good at all, 2.4 i think was the best 60 foot. and ya it spooled fast around 3k rpm

I assume the stock clutch must be taking all of this abuse too? Im amazed that this setup works so well for you. it goes against alot of the rules about boosting a non-turbo application. Cheers

im definatly surprised also, that you did not use any fuel mods (except for injectors) or clutch and that setup is still drivable, then again a 14b is not very big of a turbo, but then again it also throws out 450cfm. i still cant see how you ran anything even near 8-10psi wilthout running lean, sounds very very untrue, but hey, what do i know....

i cant see this setup doing anymore then about 3-5psi without it running lean. i mean you have stated that you dont even have an fmu, there is no way you are getting enough fuel on a stock pump and stock fuel pressure.

you have also stated that you stay rich, are you staying this because your air/fuel gauge says it, or because you have a wideband hooked up? would definatly like to know alittle bit more, on how you are accomplishing this.

damn this thread was from last year...

part of what you are saying is correct, part is not acurate, the fuel pump in his car is the same as a gt would be ~140lph, and in my 91 mx6 i ran a FP big t28 on 14psi with stock 330cc injectors, he is running rich all the time because his ecu thinks the car still has 15% smaller injectors. Im not 100% sure of this info, but i dont see how he makes more then 7psi without a 255 and safc2

WOW, that turbo kit is a great thought, but looks like $H!T... you built a 12 second car but you charged your friend $500-600 for that mess?

No, his friend charged HIM. Fit, do you still have your six? I don't think so but correct me if I'm wrong.
