turbo spool time

ok.... I'm bored of the slow spooling t3/t04e (3,000rpm+) what if i weld some fins together on the hot side?

just a question don't flame

I couldn't find anything on this topic over the net

pretty sure that would cause a non spooling turbo.
I wouldnt even think about it.

If you want quicker spool up, get a different turbo.

Or inject n20

i was looking at a T3-45 turbo hot-.42 cold-.48 would that generate too much heat for me since i have no intercooler?

Last i checked you have no IC and no fuel management and a jimmy rigged setup.
And your worrying about what?

Any turbo you get, should function the same as the one thats in there.

lol ah about the fuel setup a few dayz later after that post, my 12:1 FMU arrived ^_^ and my sparks are as clean as urz

oh btw just bought this eBay Motors: T3 "45 " Trim TURBO CHARGER Stage III .48 + OIL LINE (item 120144930540 end time Jul-25-07 01:20:28 PDT) I can convert this 4bolt exhaust side into a 5bolt with a drill & thread kit right? most people would think this turbo would be too hot for our 2.5L but I'm gonna prove you wrong

Plus, welding fins together would probably throw the whole unit out of balance. It'd be tough to do.

DUDE WHAT KIND OF TURBO ARE YOU USING, I HAVE AN EBAY TURBO (AKA P.O.S.'s) AND I START SEEING BOOS AT 2500 HIT FULL SONG AT BOT 3200-3300'ISH ANYTHING FASTER THAN THAT ID PROBABLY GO THROUGH TIRES EVERY MONTH. HOW M?UCH YOU WANT IT TO SPOOL? IDLE
