this is making MX6 people look really stupid, it is getting the attention of other forums, and they are all talking smack, here is a link to another site, talking about this thread Welding turbine blade fins (pics)

I give up...

who wants to call garrett and see if they will test one like that, I doubt anyone would sign up for the job, in fear of their life. can you imagine what will happen when one of those fins comes flying off under full load on a freeway pull, kiss your engine goodbye.

Dont get me wrong, I think it will break real quick as well. Forget the fact that you welded fins onto something that will throw it off balance etc. The weld job itself is just obviously not very good.

If you are going to do something bad, at least do a good job at it .

Still, everything you have so far is still going, you must have Jebus on your side.

The turbine is incased in a cast iron housing. Those fins would simply splatter inside, sending shrapnel into the down pipe. it wouldnt effect the motor.
However if the compressor was to explode (from whatever) that would ruin your motor if material reached that far.

hahaha, I had to sign up to reply in this thread due to it's endless hilarity.

Where/how on earth did you think of this?

Don't worry though mate, one of the guys on supraforums.com.au has added anti-lag to your already awesome turbo mod.

Same here! Ummm... Yo... I hope this guy is NOT your friend. Seriously. DO NOT LET HIM WORK ON YOUR CAR. LOL!

Corex or Colex (whatever your name is), please order and read these 2 books;

Turbochargers (Hugh McInnes)
Maximum Boost (Corkey Bell)

Then you will see how you royally eff'd up that turbo. And the noise in your video? Thats the bearings in the turbo. I have heard that noise before in one of my ex-girlfriends Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. That is NOT normal.

Sheeesh!

I wonder which thread they're looking at?

That's the bottom of the F/I forum, BTW.

This ones even better:

Maybe will set an activity record soon. That would suck since the last record was on my birthday.

can u say idiot?

Ok this guy is so freaking retarded. I don't know as much about turbos as you guys do but reading his post and all I knew right away this was a ghetto setup and knew this guy was stupid from get go. And then seeing his picture of his so called weld job if that's what he calls made me realize he might be retarded. I can teach my 5 yr to weld better than that after a couple of days. All in all that thing will fail soon and we'll here from him wondering what happened, I'm out I need to teach my kids not to be like him when older lol
