Copex, as many people here have stated, a turbo is a very finely balanced piece of machinery. It spins at thousands and thousands of rpms. What you have done will completely throw off the balance, and could end up being very dangerous to drive around with.
"You can hide v-tech from the cops. You can't hide turbo." -Actual words from a Honda owner-
and with so much internet bashing of this "copex" dude, I wonder if he has hung himself yet?
Not everyone lives on the internet and actually gives a [shizzle] what geeky scrawny pimple faced losers think. Im sure he is having a laugh if he is reading this.
weight increase by a total of 3.5grams (6 fins) + maybe 2-3 more grams from the stainless steel weld spots
So 7 gram inch total on something that only has a tolerance of about 10 milligram inches. Plus you have added fins where they shouldn't be and restricted something that needs all the flow it can get. Turbochargers cause enough backpressure as it is and you have just created more. Was the object to get a laugh or were you serious?
Sid4enote- How did you measure the weight difference? A gram scale? Big difference between the weight of the product and the balance of the product.
EDIT: A for effort and a T for Nice Try.

Reason: Rome wasn't built in a day and if it was, it wasn't with help from guys like copex.
Don't be so quick to spout off nonsense like that. He had the right idea, it just wasn't a very good one and wasn't done properly. The attempt is along the same lines as Bullseye's "Extended tip technology" but unfortunately doesn't work the same on the exhaust side. I'd love to see a before and after EGT reading as well as a backpressure test before and after. [/sarcasm]
We are very interested in this ingenius mod, copex could you please elaborate a little? What type of solder did you use? How cool does that "whine" sound, cool enough to impress your mates? Can this mod be done to any turbo?
Please do tell !!
