Honestly that looks like a pretty good kit. Its not everything you need tho, you still need to upgrade your injectors/fuel pump and a adjustable FPR or rising rate FMU. Also says you need to relocate your battery but thats easy.

I wonder if this really is a good deal. I've been toying around with the idea of some kind of FI, but I'm kind of wary with stuff from ebay.

it is a good deal. i mean, its a great deal. id get it but my turbo kit is complete already. id have to sell it just to get this but i know i wont get anywhere near what i paid.

but i always wanted a supercharger set up. i dont like the idea of tapping oil pan and modding xmember and piping. but its part of it.

if you have the cash, go for this kit. all you need is a fuel pump, fmu, and maybe some injectors depending on your fmu flow rate. and a batt kit. still, after everything is said and done, you'll still end up spending like 2k for it including guages.

*EDIT* It seems to me like the most difficult part of getting that supercharger setup installed is moving the battery to the trunk. I've been reading you have to keep an emergency cutoff switch on the outside of the car, which seems totally stupid as any jackass could just walk up and flip it off. I wonder if a switch could fit behind a reflector.

Anyways, I am really starting to consider this, getting me kind of excited. What is too high an engine compression for FI like a supercharger?

I think you only need the cutoff on the outside of the car if you race on a sanctioned track. Mercedes-Benz has their batteries under the back seat in some models. Otherwise, I've seen pics of cutoffs under the hood and inside the cabin.

keep this in mind for everyone, the clearence between the fan and motor is less for the 6 than the probe, it looks like u will still need a thinner fan look at the pic of it installed and look at ur car

I have talked to the guy about the kit. He says they will fit with stock fans. Also i think he said it runs right at 7psi. Nate V8 has a kit on the way and he said he would send some more detailed pics of the kit. I really hope everything fits and is good quality. If so I am very tempted to buy one soon.

Awesome. I was kind of hoping that would be the case. I've never done it so I wouldn't know. Is there a thread/sticky on how to do this? I don't want to hijack this thread.

If I would have known there was this much interest in my kit on here I would have logged in sooner...lol The kit your talking about is my baby guys, been in the probe mx6 game for well over ten years, owned 3 first gens, and 6 second gens. I am a member on here, but almost NEVER log in here, mostly on PT, but Nate V8 told me he spread the word over here so i figured I better check it out. If you guys have ANY questions about my kit, post them here and you'll get the answer from the source. The one thing i noticed is some of you seemed concerned about fan clearance on the 6. Lets put it this way...with the kit installed on my PGT, the distance from the side of the blower and the center fan shroud (on the thicker fan) is right at 4 inches clearance. So i forsee no issues with the 6. You may not have that much when installed on your 6, but it WILL fit. I warranty these kits for one full year also, thats how confident I am in my work and my machine shops' work. IF however for some unGodly reason, the fan issue was a hair too tight, or you didnt want the blower housing that close to your fan, you would have two options. get a single slimline (which run around 40 on the bay) and wire it to both the high and low relays, or flip flop your fan assembly from left to right (sounds weird but very simple and costs nothing). Any more questions, comments let me know guys, I'll keep checking back in here. Thanks for the interest!
