External coil - Where to put it

Well that and the HEI. Im about to go get brackets now and hopefull install everything tomorow. Looking at that club protege pic, and my engine bay, well my turbo is kind in the way huh and im guessing heat is no good. I was looking at pics of King6's HEI stuff ages back but cant seem to find them now.

Where should I mount everything so that it still reaches the disty easily and doesnt get to hot/melt wires/leads. Photos help the best

All my stuff was custom anyway....

Just about anywhere will work, they are made to be under the hood, but not right on exhaust manifolds...

, so anywhere away from the turbo, allowing the coil wire to reach (using as little as coil wire as possible) is good.
Dont skimp on electrical connections, only use the quality stuff.. no piggy back connectors, electrical tape and walmart connectors. Shrink wrap all connections.
It looks good, and you probaly wont ever have a problem with it.

Ok fair enough, probably will put it right near the battery tray on the compressor side. I was planning on using solder, but I still might go get some shrink wrap. They ran out of the size I needed at local car electrical place. relocating bastards. Apparently solder under the bonnet is no good huh, something about movement.

uh, solder and shrink wrap.-the black plastic tubing that shrinks when you heat it.

I meant solder on its own is no good. So the internet/that HEI install page has told me.

I know what shrink wrap is.

never know man.

I solder and crimp everything I do electrical. Then shrink. It takes more time, but it beats electrical tape and cheap connectors

Normally I just solder then electrical tape(with good quality tape not $1 for 20 rolls). No failures yet but im pretty good with the solder. I know it is not perfect and I am thinking of adding to it though. Especially with something like this which can leave me on the side of the road

[shizzle]. Im trying to find a spot to it, everything in that area is too busy!!!.

Any photos on a boosted mx6? It is either

a. impossible to reach
b. Will cause problems if I want to remove the IC piping for 2 minutes
c. Will bump into other [shizzle]
d. Impossible to get tools down there to tighten the bolts.

I need photos

I found a spot that is out of the way of the IC piping but might be too close to the turbo (it almost touches) PS no that electrical tape is not a permament part of the team, I ran of zipties
