gauge help

ok boys well I was going to glass my gauges into my dash but I am in a bit of a time crunch right now (I have a show in 21 days) and I really dont think I am going to get the dash install done so I got the 3 gauge piller pod. now here is my issue, I am getting the boost and af gauge. but I am just not sure about #3 because I really want a volt so I can keep a eye on that (I have a [shizzle] ton of stuff in the 6 that needs juice! or the oil psi... how important is it to keep a eye on the oil pressure? now keep in mind I am not trying to build a beast here! just boosting and going to keep it at low boost. like 6psi. so fill me in boys what do I need more?

I will also have a ebc in the car that has a built in timer dono if that changes anything?

i had this problem too. i bought a volt gauge, then decided to sell it and buy a oil psi.

if your batterys dead its not gonna start. if your driving down the road and you blow an oil seal you wont know untill your motors smoking. so i opted for an oil psi.

that is true man but you have also seen my car... I run lots of juice threw it. and when i am at a show with stuff going I would really like to know "o [shizzle] got to start the car to charge or I am walking home!" lol! I got all 4 of them but now I need to find that right place to put the extra one? I would get rid of the head vents on the dash but just one in all that space would look stupid.... maybe mold my ebc in that spot as well? I will have to see when they all get here what kind of room I have to work with.

Oil psi is pretty vital. At the end of the day you have been playing with the oil system (adding lines) so if your feed blow's or as cf_z mentioned you would like to notice the sudden drop in pressure before you realise it because the car turns off and you are up [shizzle] creek.

You dont need to have volt's constantly at easy access. It only needs a glance and that is when it is not driving. Most turbo timers have built in volt gauges, and get be installed almost anywhere (those little apexi ones are very little).
