Both King6 and I have "ebay" turbos, but they asre authentic turbonetics, and come with a warranty..
If your planning on buying one of thes 250 dollar turbos, I would advise you to not waste your money. From what I hear they are above a 60% fail rate. There are a few good stories about people whos [shizzle] holds up though. |

Made in china turbos are fine my AR .45 holds up to 9psi and has a bit of oil leak but that problem was sorted out with a smaller oil supply flange.
Its a fairly small turbo gets to 9psi@ around 3,000rpm WOT on my 2.5 mx6. So fair it has being about 6months since I got it still no shaft play. My bro got a T3/4 about a year ago its going strong on his probe, come on harder and later than my small one. 7psi @4,000RPM WOT |

Ive got a made in china turbo, more then 6 months later and still boosting strong. It is making a strange noise when cold though, at first I thought it was just a guy mowing his lawn the next street over every time I went to work, but it is coming from my engine bay. Ive got cash sitting there for a Gt30 or the like when this turbo goes though, but until ill be china-ing it up.
PS others arent so lucky, failing on first day etc, but life a gamble. |

Mine has new seals and was balanced by a local shop, so it was slightly less of a gamble. Many of the replicas are actually semi-decently made, while others will fail on day one or may not even make 1psi of boost, or blow trying. That is why it is hit and miss. I know someone who is on their same "temporary ebay replica turbo" for the last 2 years. I know others that first day they got it even with a decent oil drain they were pretty much pouring oil into their intercooler pipes. |

i'm running a t3/t4 off of ebay and she's holding up at 15psi... and it spools up at about 1800 rpm's... this turbo was bought for temporary use till i saved up money for a ballbearing turbo that is water and oil cooled... but for the most part it's well worth the money since it's holding up so well.
