didnt read anything about accuracy or even comparison on the site, looks like just another add on to get you to buy crap for your Iphone/Ipod. Either way I wouldnt even consider as anything but maybe some 10min amusement.
If it was that accurate, I wouldnt be that cheap.
Even then Gtechs measure indirectly and can be fooled easily both accidentaly and on purpose. I know of a member on this forum that claims his GF's old Celica on cheap allweather tires can hold over lateral 1G on a skid pad.
Upon further questionong he admitted to "tilting" the Gtech slightly to get the #'s but he still claims they are accurate. And hes a fairly prominent member too.

$12.99 is better than the $75 or so I spent on a GTech at least 5 years ago. I think I noticed it in a box somewhere recently, I should pull it out for some S&G fun.

i was reading a tuner mag a month or so ago and they were putting that iphone program to the test. the horsepower showed a little higher than it really was, but because of how close it was they said it was a good buy for some fun. it was in one of those "does it really do what it says sections."
That thing is literally impossible to get perfectly level. Though, IIRC, it had a thing on it to help you level it so it wouldn't run without being somewhat level. The cord was so tight that when I'd accelerate, it'd pull the GTech slightly off level which threw off the values.
Plus don't forget you guess your vehicle weight. Regardless of when you weighed in at the track "last time" or junkyard or whatever, a pound of gas weighs about 8 pounds so having 3 more gallons than last time will throw your weight higher by 24 pounds.
