Newb with turbo questions

So my cousin just got a 96 4cyl auto mx6 and we are thinking of tinking with it.
First thought came to mind was turbo.
I read the following thread but was hoping for more.
http://www.mx6.com/forums/2g-mx6-for...g-dummies.html (4 cyl turboing for dummies)

So I have a few basic questions. Will everything off a Mazdaspeed protege fit? I'm talking S pipe, down pipe etc. I know the manifold has to be grinded down which is no big deal.
Secondly, I had a MSP, this is the same engine correct? So it should be able to handle 7-10psi no problem?

Tuning solutions, I have never messed with megasquirt and don't care to. Will an safc be enough?

Any chance a stock 1g/2g dsm manifold would fit with a stock 2g t25? I am from the dsm world and can get this stuff for dirt dirt cheap.

Also, not looking for a lot of power just something to play with, the car would be on a basic side mount off a 2g dsm since I have on laying around. Stock dsm injectors I have sitting here as well.

Safc can be had for $100-$200.
Joep boost controller if needed will be $45, or just run off the stock wastegate. Problem is the dsm wastegate is 12psi IIRC. Nothing that couldn't be fixed.

Also how are the auto trannies in these cars for power? We don't want to blow it sky high!

I have a ton of dsm stuff sitting around as well as my friends so that is why I'm asking I can have it all for dirt cheap if anything at all. I even have a spare oil feed line in my toolbox.

Any help would be appreciated and looking to figure out how much it will all cost before I start something.
I have tuned on dsmlink and afc, and am very comfortable with it. From what I have gathered megasqurit needs a lot of attention.

Also would a stock mazdaspeed ecu be plug n play?

Thanks for the help!
